Description
The wedi Fundo Ligno Plus Shower Tray is designed to be integrated into wet room or shower installations on suspended timber floors. Only measuring 23mm in thickness at the edges, wedi Fundo Ligno Plus trays can be integrated into a wooden floor covering without building up to further floor height and without the need for time-consuming levelling measures. The drainage outlet exits through the joists below.
Each wedi Fundo Ligno Plus Shower Tray has pre-formed surface sloping falls that, when tiled, guide water towards the drainage point of the tray. The drainage trap area of each tray is increased in thickness to 44mm on the underside for strengthening. When installing the tray, a section is to be created between joists underneath the area where the drain outlet is located, to support the concrete mixture that surrounds the drainage trap kit. Alternatively the wedi Fundo Drain Substructure element can be used instead of concrete. The wedi Fundo Ligno Plus Shower Tray is designed to be used only with the wedi Fundo Shower Drain Kits – these are available in 4 different configurations, and each kit comes with a stainless steel grating and all the fitting accessories. The wedi Fundo Fino Square Drain Covers range of optional drain covers are also available should you desire a different design of drain grating.
Constructed from the same materials as the wedi Tile Backer Board, each tray consists of a blue core made from extruded polystyrene rigid foam that is reinforced with glass fibre (with alkali-resistant finish) on both sides and coated with a polymer-modified cement. This core is 100% waterproof and remains fully functional even after possible damage.

When fitting a wedi Fundo Ligno Plus Shower Tray, use wedi Sealing Tape, Corners & Sealing Gaskets along with wedi 520 Waterproofing Membrane and wedi 610 Adhesive to seal joints between board connections and internal and external corner junctions. We recommend using the wedi Fundo Sealing Set – this complete set contains wedi 520, sealing tape and 2 internal corners for waterproofing up to 10 metres of joints in a shower installation.
