Description
EcoProTec Satin Finish Surface Wax is a water based, finishing wax for interior use that enhances the appearance and further protects surfaces that are impregnated with EcoProTec Natural Finish Stone Sealer or EcoProTec Colour Enhancing Stone Sealer.
EcoProTec Satin Finish Surface Wax is self polishing or can be polished to restore or increase shine. EcoProTec Satin Finish Surface Wax is ideal for both treatment and aftercare and for all types of unpolished natural and artificial stone, encaustics, decorative concrete toppings, vitrified quarry tiles and machine made terracotta.
Directions for use:
Preparation: Ensure surface to be treated is completely clean and dry. Retained moisture may cause EcoProTec Satin Finish Surface Wax to dry opaque or prevent the seal from reaching full hardness.
Application:
Rough cut, textured or riven surfaces – Use a paint brush to apply EcoProTec Satin Finish Surface Wax. Apply a thin coat evenly in one direction. Do not rub or buff. Allow to dry (1hr min) Apply further coats at right-angles to previous until an even film is created (max 6 coats).
Honed and smooth surfaces – Apply using a micro-fibre cloth or pad. Pour contents into a flat tray container. Soak up the solution with cloth or pad and apply thinly and evenly to the surface. Apply further coats at right angles to previous until an even film is created (max 6 coats) Do not over apply as too many coats may cause unsightly build up and/or reduce the efficiency of the product. Begins to harden after an hour, but will take a further 3 days to become fully water resistant. If in doubt, experiment on spare tiles to establish the correct method of application and optimum number of coats before general use.
Aftercare:
Routinely sweep the floor. Use EcoProTec Natural Stone and Porcelain Aftercare Cleaner to clean and protect treated surfaces. In areas where the seal becomes worn, apply more EcoProTec Satin Finish Surface Wax. At some stage, complete renovation of the seal may be desired. In this case use EcoProTec Stone & Tile Intensive Cleaner to strip the original seal before re-sealing.
Please Note:
Avoid shaking the bottle prior to use. Frothing of liquid may lead to an inconsistent finish. Store in a frost proof place. Avoid extremes of temperature. Do not use below freezing. If in doubt, test on an inconspicuous area prior to general application. Avoid using strong detergents to wash treated surfaces. On higher porosity floor materials EcoProTec Natural Finish Stone Sealer or EcoProTec Colour Enhancing Stone Sealer may be required prior to use of EcoProTec Satin Finish Surface Wax. Caution: EcoProTec Satin Finish Surface Wax is not recommended for use on outdoor surfaces or in damp environments and where water remains (bathrooms, showers).
