The Impey WaterGuard Wetroom Tanking Kit is a complete kit which contains all products needed to fully waterproof any wet room area prior to tiling. The revolutionary design of Impey WaterGuard provides a guaranteed watertight barrier on floors and walls.
Each Impey WaterGuard Wetroom Tanking Kit contains a roll of Impey WaterGuard Wetroom Tanking Membrane – this is a self-adhesive, butyl rubber coated membrane that requires no curing time and can be tiled directly after laying, reducing installation time dramatically compared to other paint-on alternatives. Installation is simple – after removing the paper release liner, the membrane can be applied to the substrate. The Polypropylene non-woven surface allows for an easy key for tile adhesive and clearly printed guidelines provide a guide for tiling and measurement. Impey WaterGuard is 100% compatible with epoxy and solvent-based sealers. Measuring 1mm thick and 1 metre wide, it is available in 10 or 5 metre length rolls depending on which tanking kit configuration purchased. It is also designed to withstand temperatures of 60°C ensuring it is compatible with underfloor heating.
Impey WaterGuard Membrane can be used with most standard building materials: Plasterboard, cement board, tile backer board and plywood. It can safely support vertical loads of 30kg/m³.
The Impey WaterGuard Wetroom Tanking Kit also includes a roll of self-adhesive WaterGuard Jointing Tape, self-adhesive pre-formed external corner and internal corner seal manchets, butyl joint sealant and a bottle of BAL Prime APD acrylic primer. The self adhesive jointing tape, internal and external corners are also available to purchase separately – Impey WaterGuard Jointing Tape & Corners.
The Impey WaterGuard Wetroom Tanking Kit is available in 3 variations, selected via the drop down menu above:
- 5m² Floor Kit: Contains a 5 metre roll of WaterGuard Membrane, 15m jointing tape, 5 x internal corners, 1 x external corner, 500ml BAL Primer and a 310ml tube of butyl rubber sealant.
- 10m² Floor Kit: Contains a 10 metre roll of WaterGuard Membrane, 20m jointing tape, 5 x internal corners, 1 x external corner, 500ml BAL Primer and a 310ml tube of butyl rubber sealant.
- 15m² Wall & Floor Kit: Contains a 5 metre and 10 metre roll of WaterGuard Membrane for the floor and walls respectively, 25m jointing tape, 5 x internal corners, 1 x external corner, 2 x 500ml BAL Primers and 2 x 310ml tubes of butyl rubber sealant.
