Description
The HardieBacker Score & Snap Knife is a carbide tipped scoring knife designed to cut HardieBacker Board. The carbide blades significantly outlast ordinary knives and allow the user to apply a greater amount of pressure during the scoring action. Each blade is brazed to a rigid steel shank to produce an exceptionally strong cutting edge that will score almost anything.
The HardieBacker Score & Snap Knife is suitable for scoring both 6mm and 12mm HardieBacker Boards. It can also be used for laminates, roof tiles, fibreglass and roofing shingles.
Instructions for use:
Straight cuts: Score the board firmly using a straight edge as a guide and pull the board edge upwards to snap the board. Always use a straight edge with linear cuts, it will give you the most accurate results.
Circular cuts: Score the desired hole size, score an X in the centre of the circle to create a weak point, then tap it out with a hammer.
