Description
weberset SPF Tile Adhesive is a flexible, cement-based polymer modified tile adhesive for internal & external use, suitable for use with underfloor heating. It is suitable for use with substrates subject to movement or expansion and is high-grab — non-slip for walls and floors.
weberset SPF Tile Adhesive is available in grey or white, supplied in 20kg bags.
weberset SPF Tile Adhesive has extended open time for internal and external use and is suitable for fixing all types of ceramic wall and floor tiles, mosaics, marble, terrazzo, natural stone, brick slips and glass blocks in areas that will be dry or wet. It is particularly suited for situations where some movement, deflection or limited shrinkage is likely.
weberset SPF Tile Adhesive is best suited for fixing ceramic or porcelain tiles, on to most common substrates:
• Walls and floors
• Interior and exterior situations
• Underfloor heating
• Undertile warming
• Overboarded wooden floors
• Low porosity tiles or substrates
• Power-floated screeds
• Tiling onto existing tiles
Constraints: weberset SPF Tile Adhesive is not recommended for tiling onto single layer wooden floors, e.g. chipboard, tongued and grooved timber. Not recommended for tiles with resin backs. Please contact technical services for application advice.
Preparation:
Prior to using weberset SPF Tile Adhesive ensure that all surfaces are clean, dry, sound and free from dust, grease or any contaminating barrier. Make good any unsound areas and remove flaky or peeling layers before tiling.
Prime porous or dusty surfaces. weber PR360 is normally recommended for most walls in dry areas. weber AD250 is recommended for wood, wet areas and floors. Allow the primer to dry. Check before use that the colour of the adhesive does not cause staining or discolouration of light coloured or translucent tiles.
Technical Data:
Bed thickness: 3 – 6mm (may be exceeded in small areas only)
Coverage (approx.): 9 kg/m2 (solid bed, 6 mm thick), 4.5 kg/m2 (solid bed, 3 mm thick), 3.0 kg/m2 (using a notched trowel with 6 x 6 mm notches at 12mm centres)
Open time: 30 minutes
Working time (pot life): 1 hour after mixing
Set time: 24 hours – light foot traffic, full load after 48 hours
Temperature resistance: –10°C to 100°C and frost resistant when set
Water addition: 5 litres per 20kg
Particle size: Up to approx. 0.5mm
