Description
Marmox Waterproof Corner Seals are for sealing internal and external corner junctions of Marmox Multiboard Tile Backer Board installations, where wall mounted boards meet the floor. Made from polyester fleece coated with TPE (Thermoplastic elastomer), they can be used in conjunction with the Marmox Self Adhesive Waterproof Tape, which is used to seal the joints and straight connections between boards.
Please note: Marmox Waterproof Corner Seals are NOT self adhesive – they should be fixed in place using a cement based (powder) tile adhesive. They should be fixed before using the self adhesive tape.
Marmox Waterproof Corner Seals are supplied singly.
Installation Instructions:
- Paste a thin but even layer of cement-based tile adhesive onto the back of the corner piece and place into position.
- Press it into position with a trowel so that adhesive is just squeezed out at the edges. You must be confident that the entire surface is coated is bonded with no gaps.
- Scrape away any excess tile adhesive that has been squeezed out.
- Marmox Self Adhesive Waterproof Tape should be used to waterproof the neighboring gaps and joints when the tile adhesive has dried. This tape should overlap the Waterproof Corners by at least 5 cm.
