Schluter TREP G Replacement Tread Tape

Description

The Schluter TREP G Replacement Tread Tape is a self-adhesive tape for replacing the tread areas on the Schluter TREP G/GL and Schluter TREP GK/GLK Stair Nosing Profiles when they become worn or damaged.

The Schluter TREP G Replacement Tread Tape is available in two widths:

• 44mm – for use with the 55mm wide Schluter TREP G/GL and TREP GK/GLK Stair Nosing Profiles.
• 19mm – for use with the 30mm wide Schluter TREP G/GL and TREP GK/GLK Stair Nosing Profiles.

Each width is available in two separate tread types, which are each available in two finishes, black or transparent:

• Mineral grain tape, slip resistance class R11. Suitable for applications in areas with heavy foot traffic e.g. business premises or in public buildings.
• Profiled rubber insert tape, slip resistance class R10.  Suitable for residential settings or areas with low foot traffic.

The R11 Mineral grain tape comes in rolls of 18.3 metres. The R10 Profiled rubber insert tape comes in rolls of 6 metres.

Replacing the non slip tread:
When changing the non slip tread, ensure the surrounding temperature is at least 10°C.

1. Remove all residue of the previous self-adhesive tape.
2. Prior to attaching the new tape, clean the surface of the profile with a solvent.
3. Peel back approx. 5 cm of the protective liner and position the self-adhesive tape on the surface of the profile. Avoid touching the adhesive with your fingers.
4. Peel the protective liner back further and gradually install the full length of the tape.
5. Use a rubber roller to firmly press the self-adhesive tape into place. Always begin from the centre and roll toward the edges.
