Schluter SCHIENE EB Brushed Stainless Steel Tile Trim is designed to provide protective and decorative edging for tile coverings. Typical applications include edge protection where tile is bordered by carpet, at expansion joints, or as a decorative edging for stairs.
Schluter SCHIENE EB Brushed Stainless Steel Tile Trim features a trapezoid perforated anchoring leg, which is secured in the mortar bond coat beneath the tile, and an 87° sloped vertical wall section that transfers point loads to the substrate and surface covering while protecting tile edges from damage.
Schluter SCHIENE EB Brushed Stainless Steel Tile Trim offers a discreet, minimum reveal which is ideal for creating elegant transitions between different floor coverings.
Schluter SCHIENE EB Brushed Stainless Steel Tile Trim prevents tiles from chipping due to mechanical stress or impact, and is ideal for creating transitions on floors, where the tile installation is bordered by carpet or wood flooring.
Schluter SCHIENE EB Brushed Stainless Steel Tile Trim is is roll formed using V2A (material 1.4301) stainless steel then given a brushed finish with a wire brushing machine. Therefore, the profile’s contour differs slightly from the extruded brass or aluminium profile. Schluter SCHIENE EB Brushed Stainless Steel Tile Trim can sustain high mechanical stresses and is especially well suited for applications requiring resistance against chemicals and acids, e.g. in the food industry, in breweries, dairies, commercial kitchens and hospitals. This trim is also available separately in V4A Stainless Steel – Schluter SCHIENE EV4A, this is recommended if consistent exposure to chemicals and/or water is expected, for example in the case of swimming pools (fresh water). Even stainless steel is not resistant to all chemicals and substances and may be affected by hydrochloric and hydrofluoric acid or certain chloride and brine concentrations. Chemical exposure should therefore be verified in advance.
This trim is available in the following internal height sizes: 6mm, 8mm, 10mm and 12.5mm. All sizes come in lengths of 2.5 metres, the 10mm and 12.5mm sizes are also available in 3 metre lengths.
Schluter SCHIENE Tile Trim is also available in E Stainless Steel, EV4A Marine Grade Stainless Steel, M Brass, A Aluminium and AE Anodised Aluminium.
