Description

The Montolit Flash Line 3 Large Format Tile Cutter is a manual scribe-and-break tile cutter designed for cutting large format porcelain slabs that will not fit on a conventional powered table saw. It works by utilising a wheeled cutter assembly that runs along a guide rail positioned on the surface of the tile, pushed down by hand to make the incision. Then the included pair of dual splitting hand pliers are used to split the cut down the tile.

The Montolit Flash Line 3 cutter assembly features a rotating cutter head with 3 different diameter titanium cutting wheels – 8mm, 12mm and 20mm. This rotating cutter head allows the tiler to choose the most appropriate sized cutting wheel required for cutting the thin porcelain slab at hand, thus reducing the risk of cracking the tile. The rotating cutter head can be easily adjusted via a screw using a large flat head screwdriver or even a spare coin.

The different size wheels are for use with the following kinds of tiles:

8mm – delicate, thin large format porcelain stoneware and glass
12mm – standard large format porcelain and ceramic tiles
20mm – standard large format porcelain and ceramic tiles with textured or non-smooth surfaces

The Montolit Flash Line 3 guide rail is made from aluminium and is composed of 3 individual sections that are clipped together. The length of all the sections combined is 3.4 metres. Additional sections can be added to extend the total length. The guide rail features anti-slip rubber sections on the base that run the entire length of the rail, these are designed to prevent the rail from moving during the cutting operation and negates the need for fiddly suction cups. This guide rail can also be used with the Montolit Moto Flash Line 2 Cutter System.

The Montolit Flash Line 3 Large Format Tile Cutter is supplied complete with durable carry bags for secure storage and transport. Designed to work in conjunction with the Montolit Table One Cutting Bench for large format tiles.
