Description
Mapei MapeGlitter For Epoxy Grout is a coloured metallic glitter which, when mixed with Mapei Kerapoxy Easy Design epoxy grout, extends the range of colours available and enables grout lines with a sparkly metallic finish and special decorative effects to be created, ideal for grouting metal tiles, mosaics and glass tiles.
Mapei MapeGlitter is added to Kerapoxy Easy Design in rates of up to 6% by weight to form grouting mortar with a sparkling, metallic finish, and is particularly recommended for metallic tiles and vitreous tiles and mosaic. Mapei MapeGlitter may also be added to Mapelux Lucida in rates of 1% to 3%, according to the finish and tone required, to obtain sparkling finishes on internal walls.
Mapei MapeGlitter For Epoxy Grout is available in the following colours: Silver, Light Gold, Copper, Dark Blue, Pink, Purple, Red, Bottle Green, Black, Bronze, Brown, Burnished, Fuchsia, Green, Medium Blue, Night Blue, Pastel Green, Pastel Sky, Pastel Violet, Royal Blue, Sand, Sky and Violet. Each colour is supplied in 100g sachets.
When mixed correctly, it forms grouts and wall finishes with a translucent finish to improve the effect of coloured coatings with special decorative characteristics; A semi-transparent effect for a brighter, glossier finish and to enhance coatings. Never use more than the recommended dose of Mapei MapeGlitter so that the workability of the grout/mortar is not affected. Do not use it in swimming pools and for external applications.
Use between 1-3 sachets of glitter per 3kg tub of Mapei Kerapoxy Easy Design, depending on the level of glitter intensity you require. Maximum recommended dosage is 3 x 100g sachets per 3kg tub. Any more than this will adversely affect the performance of the grout.
How To Use:
Mixed with Kerapoxy Easy Design: Add the chosen glitter colour, at a variable ratio depending on the aesthetic effect desired (up to 6% by weight), to the drum of Kerapoxy Easy Design mix after mixing the two components of Kerapoxy Easy Design (A+B). Create a hole in the mix obtained and pour the glitter in it; cover it and manually mix with a trowel to properly blend the glitter. Then mix with a low-speed mixer until an even blend is obtained. Apply the Kerapoxy Easy Design/MapeGlitter blend within 45 minutes of mixing.
Mixed with Mapelux Lucida: Add MapeGlitter directly to Mapelux Lucida wax (mixed with approximately 5% of water), according to the effect and finish required. Mix until an even blend is obtained.
