HardieBacker Foam Fixing Adhesive is a heavy duty fast fix adhesive to be used when fixing HardieBacker Board to masonry, concrete or brick wall surfaces. It increases the speed of installation by up to 50%, is ready-to-use and fast-curing.
HardieBacker Foam Fixing Adhesive is also ideal for bonding all types of insulation materials. Requiring no screws when fixing, just simply apply the gunnable adhesive with a 25mm bead from the perimeter of the board with the area inside in a zigzag pattern and wait 5 minutes before fixing the board onto the surface.
Instructions for use:
Substrates should be clean and free of dust and grease. Shake can thoroughly for 30 seconds. Fit the tube onto the valve. Slightly dampen the surfaces. Hold the can upside down and extrude the foam by pressing bar. Apply HardieBacker Foam Fixing Adhesive 10mm offset from the final required position in beads of about 3cm on HardieBacker Board, covering at least one-third of the surface when pressed.
Wait for about 5 minutes before fixing the board onto a vertical surface. Press down firmly and ensure that the adhesive is left to cure for 60 minutes on the board before tiling. It can be applied on all common surfaces such as plasterboard, dry lining, insulation board, plaster, bricks, concrete, wood, metal, aluminium, stone, ceramics, MDF, polystyrene, steel, lead, zinc, chipboard, polyurethane, laminate, cork, timber, bitumen and many more building materials. Apply HardieBacker Foam Adhesive in a well-ventilated area and wear safety goggles and gloves. After using, clean the nozzle and valve.
