The Schluter KERDI LINE VARIO Drainage Profiles are designed for use exclusively with the Schluter KERDI LINE VARIO H40 Linear Drain. They can be variably cut to size to suit any shower width, are height adjustable and are shipped with 2 matching end caps. All profiles measure 1200mm in length.
The Schluter KERDI LINE VARIO Drainage Profiles are available in two designs, WAVE – a W-shaped profile and COVE, a cove-shaped profile. Both designs are available in brushed stainless steel V4A or powder coated aluminium with the TS TRENDLINE range of textured coloured finishes.
The drainage profiles are available in 8 of the TS TRENDLINE Range of colours: MBW Matt Brilliant White, MGS Matt Graphite Black, TSBG Beige Grey, TSC Cream, TSDA Dark Anthracite, TSI Ivory, TSOB Bronze, and TSSG Stone Grey.
The Schluter KERDI LINE VARIO Drainage Profiles made from brushed stainless steel are particularly well suited for applications that, in addition to heavy mechanical stresses, require resistance to chemicals such as acidic or alkaline media and detergents. Their application areas include bathrooms in apartments, nursing homes, hotels and schools as well as public washroom and shower facilities. Even stainless steel is not resistant to all chemical stresses, and may be affected by, e.g., hydrochloric and hydrofluoric acid or certain chloride and brine concentrations. In certain cases, this also applies to seawater pools.
The WAVE profile features a visible drain slot in the centre of the profile that measures 14mm x 140mm, that can be concealed from view with a removeable panel. The COVE profile features a visible drain slot in the centre that measures 8mm x 140mm. These drain slots are designed to fit into the Schluter KERDI LINE VARIO H40 drain body.
Each Schluter KERDI LINE VARIO Drainage Profile set includes a special cleaning brush with instructions for simple periodic cleaning of the drainage channel and the drain area. All cleaning agents must be free of hydrochloric and hydrofluoric acid. Avoid contact with other metals, such as regular steel, to prevent corrosion.
The Schluter KERDI LINE VARIO Drainage Profiles are designed to be cut to size to match the structural requirements on site. Each profile is supplied with a cutting guide and can be cut with a suitable hacksaw. Do not use an angle grinder. The cut ends are then de-burred prior to attaching the supplied matching end caps for an elegant finish. The profile is then bedded in tile adhesive so as to be flush with or just slightly below the tiled surface around the drain body.
