Raimondi RAI FIX Tile Fixing Safety Hooks are simple and effective mechanical anchors that are designed to prevent wall/façade mounted tiles/slabs (set with adhesive) from falling down in the event of detachment from the wall/façade. They are inserted in the incisions made on the back of the tiles/slabs by way of a special toothed “wing” (in the models 8 and 6 mm): The “wing“ is set so that it can not be deformed or bent back under the weight of the slab. The teeth prevent the Raimondi RAI FIX Tile Fixing Safety Hook from pulling out of the incision during the laying of the tile/slab in addition to guaranteeing a better mechanical anchorage to the slab even when installed.
Depending on the regulations in the country of installation, when installing tiles/slabs larger than 300mm (ceramic, porcelain or natural stone) in façades with adhesive, it is required to use a mechanical safety system which prevents the tile/slab from falling down in the event of detachment of the adhesive. The angled slot required in the base of the tile/slab can be quickly and easily cut using an angle grinder and a suitable diamond blade in few minutes. Depending on the size/weight of the tile/slab, several Raimondi RAI FIX Tile Fixing Safety Hooks may need to be used for each one.
Raimondi RAI FIX Tile Fixing Safety Hooks are available in 3 variants, for different tile/slab thicknesses: 5mm (5-6mm tile thicknesses), 6mm (6-8mm tile thicknesses) & 8mm (8mm+ tile thicknesses). Each hook measures 40 x 120mm and has 11 holes for mechanically fixing to the substrate.
