Genesis TDB Solid Brass Square Edge Tile Trim

Description

Genesis TDB Solid Brass Square Edge Tile Trim is an alternative to an ordinary straight edge or L angle Aluminium Profile, which offers a more luxurious finish to any edge with its solid brass square profile. It can be used as an edge trim vertically with wall tiles or horizontally with floor tiles or even as a feature strip between tiles in wall or floor applications.

Genesis TDB Solid Brass Square Edge Tile Trim is made from solid brass, which is extremely hard wearing, resistant to high point loads and mostly resistant against chemical substances that occur during tiling. Please note: Brass oxidizes when exposed to air, especially with high humidity. The surface develops a oxidised patina which serves as a protective layer, thus changing the appearance over time. The original surface finish can be restored simply by using a metal or brass polish.

Genesis TDB Solid Brass Square Edge Tile Trim is available in the following surface finishes: 87 Natural or 90 Brushed. Each finish is available in either 10mm or 12mm internal height options, and is supplied in 2.7 metre lengths.

Installation:
1. Select the appropriate Genesis TDB Solid Brass Square Edge Tile Trim according to tile thickness.
2. Trowel tile adhesive over the area that forms the perimeter of the tiled covering.
3. Press the perforated anchoring leg of the trim into the tile adhesive and align, mechanically fixing if required.
4. Trowel additional adhesive over the perforated anchoring leg to ensure full coverage.
5. Solidly embed the tiles so that the tiled surface is flush with the top of the profile, the profile should not be higher than the tiled surface, but rather up to approximately 1mm lower.
6. Fill the joint completely with grout.

Maintenance:
To clean Genesis TDB Solid Brass Square Edge Tile Trim, use clean water, pH-neutral cleaning agent, a sponge or cleaning cloth. Ensure that there is no sanding or grinding effect. If necessary, use an alcohol-based cleaner or a cleaner especially developed for brass or polishing paste.

Perform routine cleaning regularly in accordance with local conditions. Check cleaning agents before use to determine whether they have a corrosive or damaging effect on the profiles. This also applies to correct dosage during use. Never use agents containing hydrochloric or hydrofluoric acid. Any contact with chlorine bleaching agents, cement residue cleaners, strong acids or alkaline should be avoided.
