Description
Genesis EVT PVC Vinyl To Tile Capping Trim is a profile that offers a neat transition between soft vinyl flooring and ceramic tiles in skirting areas. Extruded from UPVC, this trim features an adjustable gap for the vinyl to sit within which can accommodate up to 12mm thick vinyl. The square section that butts up next to tile edge features a small lip that covers the edge of the tile.
Genesis EVT PVC Vinyl To Tile Capping Trim is available in two internal height sizes to fit the respective tile thicknesses: 8mm or 12mm. Both sizes are available only in white PVC, supplied in 2.5 metre lengths.
UPVC is particularly suitable for a wide range of application due to its excellent chemical resistance, however note the following: It is not recommended for use above 60°C resistant to most oils, alcohols, petrol and fats. It is unsuitable for use in contact with aromatic and chlorinated hydrocarbons, ketonesm nitro compounds, esters and cyclic ethers with cause some swelling.
Installation:
1. Measure and cut the Genesis EVT PVC Vinyl To Tile Capping Trim profile to the desired length.
2. If fixing during tiling installation trowel adhesive onto substrate and bed the profile into position ensuring the adhesive penetrates through the holes in the anchoring flange.
3. Trowel the adhesive over the holes and position tiles accordingly.
4. Tuck the vinyl flooring material into the cavity below.
5. Apply silicone or similar sealant if required to provide a complete seal.
Maintenance:
Genesis EVT PVC Vinyl To Tile Capping Trim requires no special maintenance. Clean periodically using a neutral detergent to maintain the appearance. Regular cleaning aids the longevity of the profile.
