wedi Vapor Building Board is a composite element made from extruded polystyrene rigid foam which is reinforced on both sides with a special cement coating, and a vapour barrier on one side.

wedi Vapor Building Board is similar to wedi Tile Backer Board – it has a blue core made from CFC-free extruded polystyrene rigid foam coated with a fibre-reinforced cement coating that makes it an ideal basis for any type of plaster and tile. This board has a special cement coating on both sides with a vapour barrier on one side, designed for use on ceilings and floors in rooms where there is a permanently raised level of humidity, such as swimming pools, spas, wellness suites, steam rooms, etc.

wedi Vapor Building Boards can be applied to practically any substrate, are waterproof, insulating, versatile, light and robust. The blue XPS core is 100% waterproof and remains fully functional even after possible damage.

wedi Vapor Building Board comes in 3 different board sizes: 2500 x 600 x 14mm, 2500 x 600 x 20mm, 2500 x 600 x 50mm.

wedi Vapor Building Board is primarily used as a carrying element for laying tiles, slabs and natural stone floor coverings using the thin-bed method. It can also be used as an adhesive surface for applying plaster, tile adhesive and other materials.

This board can be fitted on almost any surface, and is waterproof, heat-insulating, versatile, lightweight, dimensionally stable and quick to process. wedi Fixing Dowels and wedi Fixing Washers can be used to fix the boards to substrates such as studwork, wooden floors and solid walls/floors.

Use wedi Sealing Tape, Corners & Sealing Gaskets along with wedi 520 Waterproofing Membrane and wedi 610 Adhesive to seal joints between boards, internal and external corner junctions and around protruding pipes.
