The Twist Tile Levelling System is a tool-less tile levelling system comprising of a screw cap and threaded clip that is tightened by hand to achieve the levelling effect, similar to the Raimondi VITE Tile Levelling System and the Screw Cap/Clip Tile Levelling System.
The Twist Tile Levelling System clips are suitable for use with tiles measuring 3-30mm in thickness, and are available in 1mm, 2mm and 3mm thicknesses for the corresponding tile joint width. Each clip thickness is made from a different shade of grey plastic, to easily distinguish between sizes.
The Twist Tile Levelling System is also available in a kit, containing 100 clips and 50 caps in a handy bucket. The kits are available in 1mm, 2mm and 3mm clip sizes.
The Twist Tile Levelling System threaded spacer clip acts as both a tile spacer and levelling clip. The clip has 4 legs which are arranged in a cross pattern, for 4-corner junctions with square tiling. One or two of the legs can be easily removed for T-junctions or straight sides when tiling in brick-bond pattern, just by gently twisting them until they break off. Please see the video at the bottom of the page for a demonstration.
The threaded spacer clip is inserted underneath the tile edge into the adhesive bed, before the adjacent tile is laid. The screw cap is then threaded onto the clip and tightened until the tiles are level. The cap is ergonomically shaped with finger grips to be easily tightened by hand and is designed to be compressed – you can gently squeeze the cap to widen the threaded opening so that it can be quickly placed over the clip and down to the tile, as opposed to screwing the cap down from the top of the clip. Once the adhesive is set, remove the cap & clip by beating them with a white rubber mallet (or with the foot). Beat parallel to the joint line. As an alternative, unscrew the cap, remove it and beat directly on the clip (parallel to the joint line).
The Twist Tile Levelling System cap features a hollow design so that users can see the grout joint easily on intersections. They are also extremely durable and can be re-used over and over again, so you only need to buy more clips for future applications.
