The Sigma Series 4 NEX Tile Cutter is a ‘push-to-cut’ scribe and break tile cutter from Sigma, hand-made in Italy to an extremely high standard. Made from high-resistance aluminium alloy and steel for great rigidity. The Sigma Series 4 NEX Tile Cutter is suitable for cutting all types of commercially available tiles from 0-19mm in thickness.

The Sigma Series 4 NEX Tile Cutter features the ‘NEX’ breaking handle that is designed for push scribing and breaking with minimal effort. The scoring wheel is always clearly visible from the operator’s side and the handle is equipped with double springing for cushioned scribing of structured tiles. The handle uses a 16mm diameter wheel with an internal bearing for maximum smoothness during scoring, guided laterally by an anti-friction metal shell inserted into a CNC milled housing, to avoid friction and lateral wear. Also available is a TIN coated version of the scoring wheel.
The sliding carriage of the Sigma Series 4 NEX Tile Cutter is wear-free, thanks to 3 double-row ball bearings which guarantee precision over time, without the need for maintenance. There is an automatic system that keeps the handle raised to facilitate the insertion of the tile and an automatic steel compensator for adjusting the sliding preload of the carriage on the guide.
The bottom of the handle has 120 mm wide split foot with interchangeable anti-mark protection pads. For the splitting phase, simply lift the handle to allow the foot to rotate automatically. The front protective rubber absorbs the shock during scribing so as not to damage the base column. The tile is snapped by simply pressing down with the breaking feet near the edge of the tile.
The Sigma Series 4 NEX Tile Cutter features a large tile support table and swivelling measurement bar which supports the tile, it can rotate 45° in both directions and is pivoted at the centre of the cutting line, allowing the real measurement of the piece to be cut to be obtained. A 45° second measurement scale gives the length of the diagonal and the rapid positioning button makes it easier to set to standard angles far quicker.
Pushing away from the lateral stop measurement bar rather than pushing to it, allows a much stronger scribe mark on the material, which in turn allows particularly thick or difficult materials to be easily cut, with the added advantage of the lateral stop measurement bar being conveniently close to the operator.
