The Schluter DITRA HEAT DUO WiFi Kit is a complete underfloor heating kit that contains the complete set of Schluter DITRA HEAT Products – the Schluter DITRA HEAT DUO Uncoupling Mat with sound deadening, Schluter DITRA HEAT E HK electric heating cable, and a Schluter DITRA HEAT E R WIFI touchscreen thermostat.

This kit is also available separately with the standard Schluter DITRA HEAT E R Thermostat – The Schluter DITRA HEAT DUO Kit.

Th Schluter DITRA HEAT DUO WiFi Kit is available in the following size options: 1.5m² (Heated Area 1.1m²), 2.3m² (Heated Area 1.6m²), 3.1m² (Heated Area 2.2m²), 3.9m² (Heated Area 2.7m²), 4.7m² (Heated Area 3.3m²), 5.4m² (Heated Area 3.8m²), 6.2m² (Heated Area 4.4m²), 7.0m² (Heated Area 5m²) and 7.8m² (Heated Area 5.5m²). The first size relates to the area covered by the uncoupling matting, the second denotes the actual heated area coverage capability of each kit as dictated by the length of the included cable.

The Schluter DITRA HEAT DUO Uncoupling Mat is a polyethylene uncoupling membrane that has a cut-back stud structure and a special 2mm anchoring fleece that is laminated to the underside. The Schluter DITRA HEAT DUO Membrane is designed to work as an uncoupling, crack bridging, waterproofing and vapour pressure equalization layer that is able to carry the Schluter DITRA HEAT E HK Heating Cable. The special thermal barrier fleece, in addition to reducing impact sound, enables faster heating of floor and wall coverings. This integrated heating cable matting negates the need for a separate heating mat to be laid on top, reducing floor height build up and reducing project costs. It can be used on walls and floors, and is suitable for use on problematic and unstable substrates.

The Schluter DITRA HEAT E HK is an electric heating cable with a unilateral connection for installation in the uncoupling matting. Spaced at 3 studs apart, it produces a heat output of 136W/m², suitable for both floors and walls. Spaced at 2 studs apart, it produces a heat output of 200W/m², suitable only for walls. It connects directly to the Schluter DITRA HEAT E R WIFI Thermostat – a touchscreen thermostat with a backlit display that features fully adjustable timer programs, selectable room settings and is compatible with European integrated switch clusters. It measures 5.5cm x 5.5cm and is WiFi-Enabled – meaning you can control the heating via your smartphone with the dedicated Schluter HEAT-CONTROL App for IOS and Android.

The Schluter DITRA HEAT DUO WiFi Kit is quick and easy to fit – the uncoupling membrane is supplied in a number of rectangular mats measuring 0.8m x 1m. The number of mats included differs depending on which kit size is purchased. These mats can be adhered to the substrate using a suitable tile adhesive. The heating cable can then be installed in the matting in the exact area that you want to heat, then connected to the thermostat. When this is finalised, the tiles can be laid straight on top of the entire installation using an suitable tile adhesive.
