Description

Kerakoll Keragrip Eco Adhesion Promoter is a certified, eco‑friendly, water‑based adhesion promoter for compact, non‑absorbent substrates and timber substrates, ideal for use in Green Building.

Comes in 5kg containers.

Kerakoll Keragrip Eco develops extended overlay times, making it safe and easy to apply high‑adhesion mineral levelling and self‑levelling products, even when overlaying.

Kerakoll Keragrip Eco is Single-component, solvent-free and with very low volatile organic compound emissions. Safeguards the health of both operators and the environment.

Features:

  • For internal use
  • Ready to use
  • Easy-to-identify red liquid
  • Suitable even at low temperatures
  • Easy to use for fast, safe, applications even with a roller
  • Suitable for substrates treated with resins

Kerakoll Keragrip Eco Adhesion Promoter is designed for the preparation of smooth, compact, non-absorbent substrates and timber substrates before application of finishing, levelling or self-levelling products and mineral adhesives and cement-based tile adhesives to improve their power of adhesion.

Kerakoll Keragrip Eco Adhesion Promoter is suitable for use with:

  • fluid, mineral mortars and fluid mortars
  • mineral adhesives and cement-based adhesives
  • mineral finishing, levelling and self-levelling products with normal, rapid and extra-rapid setting

Kerakoll Keragrip Eco Adhesion Promoter can be used on the following substrates:

  • flooring in ceramic, marble-floor tiles and natural stone
  • flooring in concrete smoothed with circular grinding machinery
  • compact and smooth cement-based screeds
  • prefabricated concrete and fresh concrete castings
  • wooden panellings
  • hardwood floors
  • substrates in metal on rigid supporting surfaces
  • flooring with residual traces of resin-base adhesives
  • flooring in epoxy resin
  • varnishes
  • rigid PVC coatings
  • flooring grade bitumen/asphalt
  • Class 3 plywood

Do not use Kerakoll Keragrip Eco Adhesion Promoter on highly flexible substrates or substrates which may present a risk of strong dimensional movement; on substrates which are moistened or subjected to moisture rising, for overlaying of mortars and plasters with semi-dry consistency and high granulometric grading.

Preparation of substrates:
Substrates must comply with BS 5385, parts 1-5, be stable and non-deformable, without cracks and have already completed the curing period for hygrometric shrinkage; must be free from dust, oil and grease, free from any rising damp, with no loose, flaky material.

Surface treatments of certain materials such as waxes for resilient materials, marble floor tiles, hardwood floors, concrete parting compounds and sheet-metal oils must be completely removed. Varnishes, wall paints and adhesives that are not perfectly anchored must be removed mechanically. Absorbent substrates must be compact.

Instruction for use:
On non-absorbent substrates and timber substrates: shake the can well before opening. Kerakoll Keragrip Eco is immediately ready for use. Pour Kerakoll Keragrip Eco from the can onto the substrate to be covered. Apply a fine, uniform film, preferably using a sponge or synthetic fibre roller and working in the same direction. Apply a second pass criss-crossing the direction of the first to ensure full coverage of the substrate. The colouring allows the user to check whether the application is complete and uniform. Avoid any build-up of product. Once hardened, Kerakoll Keragrip Eco will withstand light foot traffic. Any traces of dirt must be removed using a suitable vacuum cleaner.
