Aluminium Expansion Joint Tile Trim is designed to provide edge protection for tiled surfaces that are exposed to foot and vehicular traffic while absorbing lateral movement of the tiles caused by mechanical stresses. This prevents the tiles from cracking and is often used in large tiled areas, such as supermarket floors, etc.
Aluminium Expansion Joint Tile Trim is formed from two extruded aluminium lateral anchoring legs, connected with a strip of flexible polyurethane rubber which absorbs movement.
Aluminium Expansion Joint Tile Trim is suitable for interior use. Not suitable for areas that are regularly exposed to damp or chemicals, as this may cause corrosion. However this trim is highly durable so suitable for use in areas with high foot and vehicular traffic.
Aluminium Expansion Joint Tile Trim comes with a highly flexible removable rubber insert. Having a removable insert allows you to replace the insert if it gets damaged, worn or simply if you want to change the colour.
Aluminium Expansion Joint Tile Trim is available in 3 different infill colours to suit your tiling installation – black, grey, and jasmine. The visible width of the joint when installed is 16mm.
Available in 3 different internal heights – 10mm, 12.5mm, 15mm. Comes in 2.5 metre lengths.
