S1 Tile Adhesive

S1 Tile Adhesive (S1 Rated) is a flexible, cement-based, polymer-modified adhesive designed for tiling surfaces subject to minor movement, vibration, or thermal expansion, such as underfloor heating. It is “deformable”, meaning it can bend between 2.5mm and 5mm without breaking, making it ideal for porcelain, natural stone, and large-format tiles.

Flexibility: S1 Tile Adhesive offers moderate to high flexibility to prevent tile cracking on substrates that may move slightly.
Suitability: Ideal for interior/exterior use, including wet rooms, bathrooms, and swimming pools.
Substrates: Suitable for concrete, cement screeds, plasterboard, and tiling-onto-tiles.
Types: Available in rapid-set for quick, 2-3 hour setting, or standard-set for longer working times.

Common Uses for S1 Tile Adhesive:
Underfloor Heating: The flexibility allows for thermal expansion.
Large Format Tiles: Provides the necessary bond strength for heavy tiles.
External Tiling: Withstands temperature changes (frost-proof).
Timber Substrates:  Can be used on plywood, though S2 Tile Adhesive is often preferred for high-movement wood floors.
